Internal Communications Specialist (m/f)
Joining our European Brand & Culture team, TELUS International is seeking a talented, innovative, hands-on, enthusiastic Internal Communications Specialist with a passion for providing first-class communications support in German, Bosnian and English.
You will report to our Internal Communications Team Leader based in Berlin, Germany. The role is subject to a combined work style meaning that you must be able to work both remotely and from one of our offices in Banja Luka or Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
You will join a team that supports the internal messaging of all operative teams serving our clients and our administrative teams such as Finance, Workforce Management, IT, Legal, etc. across eight countries in Europe.
Your daily tasks will include writing, text review and content creation across a variety of communications tasks, some phased over several months and others ad-hoc. All require attention to detail and collaboration with different contributors and across all team functions and all management levels.
You will be capable of working independently or with little supervision, be approachable and have an aptitude for getting people on board with an idea or direction.
Internal Communications Specialist (m/f)
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and align communications solutions collaboratively with our leaders and stakeholders in a relationship built on trust.
- Contribute to an open and positive philosophy and behaviour around internal communications and showcase its support for the overall achievement of organisational objectives and strategy at both a regional and global level.
- Assist with coordination and planning of team member events and engagement activities.
- Help to manage TELUS International’s key communications channels such as our internal network, Cosmos.
- Work collaboratively with our admin teams i.e. HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, etc. that support our TELUS International team members.
- Work collaboratively with employee committees to raise awareness of related initiatives and activities
- Support our largest volunteering event, TELUS Days of Giving, both in planning and communicating to team members and other stakeholders.
- Assist other members of the Brand & Culture department based across Europe and work collaboratively with other global communications functions at TELUS International
- Support TELUS International’s objectives and champion TELUS International’s values.
- Travel may be required to other TELUS International sites.
Requirements:
- Fluency in German, Bosnian and English is essential.
- Outstanding written skills, starting texts from scratch and adapting messages to various target audiences and channels and with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Qualification in a media communications/marketing/PR or comparable work experience.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to support the delivery of an internal communications strategy or communications focused programmes of work, including descriptions of tools and information relating to IT, legal, pay, etc.
- Ability to prioritise deadlines and be self-directing without compromising the quality of your output.
- Ability to quickly grasp the main functions and benefits of a tool or processes.
- Ability to cut through ambiguity and establish clarity (for example in aligning the content of a communication across administrative teams).
- Strong knowledge of leading practices in corporate communications and change management impacts.
Valued but not essential:
- Experience with video/audio production, graphic design and photography.
- Strong knowledge of employee-facing communications and related analytics, tools and trends.
- Event management experience.
- Network of NGOs or knowledge of volunteering principles in Bosnia and Herzegovina or on a European level.
